Experiencing an Emergency?
- Bloat - Distress, unproductive vomiting, stomach is hard and distended
- Heat stroke - panting heavily, apparent distress, drooling excessively
- Respiratory distress - struggling to breathe, tongue or gums turning blue
- Actively seizing
- Actively bleeding (mouth, limb, etc)
- Allergic reaction/insect sting
- Recent fight/attack from other animal
- Poisonings/Toxicities (rat poison ingested/poisonous plant ingestion/chocolate/grapes)
- Obvious fracture (bone sticking out)
- Hit by a vehicle
- Open mouth breathing in cats
- Male cat unable to urinate
If you find that you need emergency assistance after hours, we recommend:
Veterinary Emergency Clinic or Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center
They are available when we are closed and we trust them for quality care!
In the event you have to visit the emergency clinic we can get the records so we can follow up if your pet needs further care.
